Hey there! Mydalya came to us on a small budget wanting to have a rustic birthday party during the pandemic. Mydalya knew she wanted it done safely, but with style and fun activities for everybody to do. She didn't want a stuffy party.
The important factor in planning an event with rustic décor on a budget is the venue. Keeping that in mind, we knew that this axe throwing place in Columbia, MD would be the perfect venue. Since this was an intimate event we also helped her with the décor. The venue for the birthday party was fully decorated with beautiful woods throughout the building, which made decorating simple for us. So we set it all up!
For starters, Mydalya's favorite flowers are daisies, which works extremely well with rustic décor. Therefore, we thought the daisies with babies breath was a nice touch for the floral arrangements. We included sunflowers to add a nice yellow pop of color. In addition, Mydalya's favorite color is purple. So to add that special touch we made sure the favors were wrapped in purple. We thought having useful favors for the birthday party would be perfect. Considering that the venue has a tap wall, we ordered personalized beer mugs to be the favors. They were an absolute hit! Mydalya and her guest loved them! We also brought a beautiful array of purple, gold, and white balloon garland and additional loose balloons to accentuate the colors for the event. To finish off the décor, we used burlap table runners and linens with lace as well as doilies to keep an elegant look to the rustic themed event.
Rustic décor is quite prevalent, I think more so now, because people want to have that intimate and warm feeling of home for their private event. Rustic décor provides a very natural beauty, but yet rugged and resilient essence that is versatile and compliments other styles whether traditional or industrial.
